Learn to Sing

Would you like to learn to sing but don't believe you have the abilities to do so? Perhaps you already sing but wish to further your musical potential, developing your abilities as a soloist or chorister. Anybody can learn to sing. Time and again one hears people proclaim that although they would love to learn to sing they cannot because they are 'tone deaf' or have no musical ability. In nigh on all cases this proves false; many individuals just don't understand their voice well enough to let it sing out at the correct pitch. Nobody picks up an instrument for the first time expecting to know how to sound every pitch in its range with precision and beauty. That is an unrealistic expectation. When we learn to play the piano or violin we must learn where to find particular pitches and then gradually develop timbre, muscle memory and various other elements before we can truly assert that we can play that instrument. Singing requires exactly the same processes.
